What Can I Expect from Tooth Extractions?
Tooth extractions are done in our Helena, MT office using local anesthesia on the area around the tooth being worked on. When you're ready, Dr. Miller will begin the procedure. In a simple extraction, he will loosen the tooth using a special device called an elevator prior to removing it. A surgical extraction involves making incisions into your gums to get to the tooth. If needed, the tooth may be broken up into smaller pieces so that it can be taken out. Once the tooth is removed, Dr. Miller will stitch the incision in your gums. He may also prescribe antibiotics before and after the process, if needed.
