What Can I Expect from Fillings?
Receiving a filling at Miller Family Dentistry is generally a quick process. The treatment area will be numbed to minimize your discomfort. Stronger sedation methods may be discussed if you have any anxieties to help keep you relaxed during the procedure. As soon as you're prepared, the decayed enamel is removed with a special drill that Dr. Miller will choose based on the location of the cavity and the level of decay. Once the enamel is treated and the tooth is cleaned, the area will be replaced with the composite filling and set with a special light. He will then polish the filling so it matches your natural teeth.
